History
Our beginnings
Embarcadero was started in 2013 with the aim of giving access to the Spanish investors the attractive international Private Equity market.
Throughout this time, we have helped tier one international alternative investment fund managers in the placement of their funds, not only Private Equity funds but also Private Infrastructure, Private Debt or Real Estate funds. Our effort has been supported by the majority of Spanish institutional investors, who have committed around EUR 600 million so far in alternative investment funds introduced by us.
Likewise, we have also acted as intermediaries in the sale of Private Equity assets, and in restructuring the investor base of two Spanish Private Equity managers, for an aggregated value of more than EUR 500 million.
New challenges
In 2019 we took another step forward with the incorporation of Embarcadero Capital SGEIC, S.A., as management company of “closed-end investment entities”. Our goal is to offer international funds under Spanish regulation, together with some of the best managers in the world. We have inaugurated this activity in collaboration with Pantheon with the launch of Embarcadero Pantheon Co-Inversión Global, FCR. The final size is EUR 103 million.
